Preston
Muslim Forum seeks to improve the lives and well being of Muslims and
the community at large by fostering understanding and co-operation between
communities. We help to develop community-led solutions, advocating fair,
effective and culturally sensitive public services. Our vision is to promote
and support a striving, healthy and prosperous Muslim community that actively
contributes to the benefit of society as a whole.
Established in 1991, we operate in the inner wards of
Preston and have dedicated our efforts to positively changing the lives
of ethnic minorities within the city and in its local environment. As
a result, we are now recognised as a significant and valuable partner
at the strategic, tactical and operational levels.
We offer a range of core services,
together with nationally recognised courses
and specific projects
designed to build capacity and promote good practice. We also organise
a series of events, details of which can be found here.
